Title: headlamp protection
Post by: Therenback on October 26, 2011, 06:50:39 AM
Had minor result re-shapin an fittin skidmarx lense covers an it due to "ACQUIRING" her indoors power draining hair dryer to reform the material slightly so it conforms with curve of headlamp. Beauty item also came in handy for activating heat set glue on the 3M tags used which are worth leaving to set off bike so not under tension.

So what am I to think about your response if it wasn't meant to be an insult?
After all I am obviously not the only one who couldn't make neither heads nor tails out of your obviously drunken ramblings.
I got your message loud and clear, though.
So much for not insulting people via keyboard.
So unfortunately I forgot my manners and responded in kind.
I'll try to keep my cool and ignore further insults in future.
One more reason to stay away from any meetings where I may run into certain members of this forum.

mecki, I dont know why you need to make a mountain out of a molehill eveytime. ::)

I dont speak as many languages as you but this is how I have interpreted therenback's post. (therenback, I understand your post perfectly).  ;D
I had a reasonable result reshaping and fitting a skidmarx lens cover and this was done by borrowing my partners large and powerful hair dryer to adapt the material where necessary so that it flowed with the contours of the shape of the headlight lens. The hairdryer also came in handy for activating the heat set glue on the 3M tags on the lens protector which you should ideally leave off the bike while heating to ensure that you do not put it under undue stress.

MECKI,
I was rude an hostile towards you and apology therefore will be public. I won't add insult with excuses, I am a grumpy old twat who as it gets older realises it a lot more to learn. My reason for this belated apology is simply that I had no right to cast you or anyone in negative way. You should attend meets, I'm sure they'll be better for it.

Apology accepted.
I tend to be a cynical old man myself and an opinionated hair-splitting know-it-all to boot.
So I can understand that a lot of people think I'm a bore - but so be it.
No hard feelings mate. :D
