Hi
Picked up my newly registered but 2010 Blue GTR yesterday. Had to go to London to fetch it but as it happened it was a nice day for a 320 mile bike ride! Down on my Ducati 1200 Multistrada ( an awesome bike but fickle)and back on the Kwak.
So far loving it, been out for another 100 miles this morning with my wife on the back who is also very happy with her lot on the back.
So far I have an SW Motech adapter plate for a Givi Monokey top box fitted and dropped my Autocom into the toolbox as per threads I have read on here. Dead easy fit, didn't have to get the toolbox out to do the cutting and the accessory cables are straightforward to find and tap into.
One question though. Where do people bring their riders autocom cable out. I have mine trapped between the seat and tank, but is there somewhere better?
Yet to do is the Sat Nav, I have a Telferizer mount ready for that, and rad guard/fender extender.
Thats about it I think, the bike is pretty much sorted as is to be honest. Can't wait til' next year now to go to the Picos mountains in Spain in June and back to the Alps again and the Milau bridge in Sept.
I think I've now got the bike for the job!!
Chris
Excellent news mate .... you will love the Gtr and it will deal with European miles with ease .... I was in France earlier this year, near to Milau Bridge and the bike was just awesome ... really great in all areas, and now we have a few more days of mild sunny weather ... well, no point keeping it in the garage ;D

Now would it be you I saw in Buxton this afternoon, near the Morrisons? Acknowledged each other with the helmet nod. The bike was two up, and I thought it was very pristine, which made me think I must clean mine.
I was on the Silver 1400. :D
Bradders, congratulations on the new bike. Happy days are ahead for you.
As for the rider's autocom lead I have mine coming out as you do, between the tank and front of the seat. I have also had it in a small Bagster tankbag which in some respects was better although the Autocom unit is obviously not as thief proof there.
No, sorry not me. We went out towards staffs. Keep your eyes open though, we will definately be out and about!!
Chris
Hi Chris
Will do. Seems you cover the ground I ride i.e. Derbyshire and Staffs. Will keep my eye out for a pristine Blue 61 Plate 1400
Whoops should have said 10 plate.
No you were right first time its a 61 plate! As for pristine.... well maybe, I will keep it clean, but I enjoy riding more than cleaning.
Chris
Hello and welcome.
I have my autocom cable come out at the side of the seat on the right, in the middle, basically at the back of the drivers bit / front of the passengers bit. The passenger autocom cable comes out the same place on the left side. It works OK like this once I'm on and connected, but it's early days. Once it got disconnected by my right leg, as the join is pressed against the seat / bike by my leg when riding.
900 miles now and still loving it I thought I'd post a couple of pics.
That looks really nice ... especially with the sun shining on it ... enjoy !!
see you at the cat & fiddle / matlock / wetton mill, sometime
Chris where abouts is that cafe?
Hi chris a tad belated! but welcome. congratulations on the gtr, got mine october 2010 "magnesium grey" only done 3,200 miles to date, but also have the zzr1400 model so use alternatively  will be going back to the french and swiz alps late july early august  which I've allready done on my zzr, also have a costwolds trip booked late june with a few members on here for the weekend, so the mileage will soon rise, h'o ! quite often take a ride up to d&k to have a nose around, then normally have a good ride around northwales. hope to see you around on our travels
Thanks all, I will no doubt be about in Derbyshire over the summer so might see you about Zedmeister. We're normally heading out to Wales or the coast though.
The cafe is the Kingfisher at Fradley Junction between the A38 and Kings Bromley, Staffs. You have to ride along the towpath to get there but its accessible enough. Nice place for a coffee tho!!
Chris
Hi Chris,
Awesome biking country up there.
My better half is from Thorpe and we often visit her family in Ashbourne.
Sometimes by bike , but more often by car :embarrassed:.
Welcome aboard.
welcome from the Lakes Bradders
I've seen the 'Bradders' name used on another forum but can't remember which it is...
Anyway, tis good to see you on here where there's loads of available advice and almost always free of charge :mfr_lol:
If it was me it would be BMW K series, or Aprilia Caponord or Ducati 1200 Multistrada. But I have seen it used by other people in various forms.
Chris
Chris, just the man, experience on a Kbike and can make a comparison.
I joined today. Please read my post which is a few above yours in the list.
All the best best with the 14.
