Is it me or is Oxford Products stuff rubbish?
I purchased a tank bag in June this this year, one of the so-called Lifetime Products range. It cost me £100 for the bag - not exactly cheap.
I am now on my second tank bag after the main zip failed after two months use. I now need to take the second one back as two other zips have now failed - one the zip itself, the second where the stitching has come away leaving the zip loose
I had a tail pack a few years ago and the zip went on that as well.
I am not doing anything other than using it normally - not overfilling or yanking the zips.....
Let me know what you think....
Always found Oxford stuff to be good and robust.
You don't know your own strength!
The only thing I've got in common with desperate Dan is the amount of pies I eat.....
How long did your tank bag last before it packed up?
Not had a tank bag off them ,but other stuff, heated grips, ratchet straps, soft luggage etc have always been good quality.
A mate in the trade rates the bags though, never had aproblem (with the newer range) and he rates the features/waterproof inners etc
Took the bag back again and fowlers let me change it for a diiferent bag. I got a Givi tank bag for an eye watering £125. I paid the difference and took it home. I opened it up and the rain cover was split. . . . Hey ho.

I phoned them up and told them it was split....there was a bit of a sigh down the phone then they told me to bring the raincover in and they will replace it,
This new bag seems to be a lot tougher than the wimpy Oxford Products one... and the zips don't look like they are made of cheese. The bag is a bit smaller however and not as good to lean on when I am plodding up the motorway
At the end of the day, you spend your money you want a decent product.
