I have an Autotune that I need to install. Does anyone know what the best location for the sensor would be?

The other issue is that I don't fancy dismantling the exhaust so I'm hoping to get someone to be able to weld it with the exhaust in position.
Autotune is some sort of addition to a Power Commander yes? One that tunes the fuel map stored in the PC on the fly? If so, then I assume that the bike's original exhaust mounted oxygen sensors are bypassed and thus the Autotune boss could then fit in place of said oxygen sensor.
I don't know where exactly the O2 sensor(s) are on the GTR, but on every other catylyst equipped bike I've worked on, they are mounted just ahead of the catylst. Thus, I would expect them to be in position 1 on your diagram assuming part A is the cat.
Martin.
I don't think it bypasses the bikes two O2 sensors, but rather supplements them. The header consists for for pipes that merge into two which then subsequently merge into one. Looking at the header I think I can place it next to one of the O2 sensors, but at a 10 o'clock or 2 o'clock position. Any where else means its before the pipes merge into a dual formation, or its after the catalyst converter.
I'll post pics of the install. Wish me luck
Get someone with a Tig welding kit to do the work. The exhaust can be surprisingly fragile. I know a professional welder who actually makes exhausts in Linconshire that can do the work if you live nr by
Lincolnshire is too far unfortunately. I'm going to check with my local mechanic to see if he can do it. I wonder why they can't tap into the existing sensors

It's possibly because the OEM HO2 sensors will possibly be narrowband and the PC Autotune will most definately be wideband.
