I wasn't sure where to put this but here seems as good a place as any.
I have the bike in bits fitting the new auxiliary lights. Unfortunately the instructions relate to the gen 1 bike not the later one.
Apparently, on the earlier model the three relays underneath the left-front panel on the fairing run front to back and the headlamp relay is the one at the rear. On the Gen 2 bike they run left to right and I don't know which one is the headlamp relay. I thought I'd be clever and take out the relays one by one and check the main beam after I'd removed each one. Unfortunately main beam worked whichever relay I disconnected so that was a dismal failure. Either none of them is the headlamp relay or, more likely, my plan was crap.
Once I've identified the correct relay I need to find the red/black wire which runs into it. This seems to have also changed as none of the relays, AFAICS, have a red/black wire. The relay on the left has a brown/black wire but I'm loathe to guess.
I'll probably have to wait until Monday afternoon when the US company is available for a call but I thought I'd ask here on the off-chance someone knows.
Thanks.
Kevin
Grab the 2011 service manual which should have the wiring diagram

Thanks. I'd completely missed your previous post and didn't know the later manual was 'available'.
It's not surprising none of the three relays I pulled had any effect on the lights as none of them have anything to do with main beam. The headlight relays are located under the black cover on the tank.
Edit: And having now checked the date of your other post I can see why I 'missed it'! :)

Hey kevin,
Did you connect your aux lights directly to the head lights ?
How please ? What cable... An extra fuse... ?
Thx
Ps bought the cree leds on ebay and already put them in the front part of the mirror.. That will increase the V-looks of the lights ;-)
Now have to connect them...
I haven't had a GTR for a few years so I can't remember the details I'm afraid but I'd have wired the lights the same way as I have on subsequent bikes.
The primary feed for the auxiliary lights comes from a Fuzeblock (http://www.fuzeblocks.com/). I use lights from Clearwater (http://clearwaterlights.com/) which can be dimmed and brightened at the same time as the bike's OEM lights. I assume I was looking for the bike's high beam feed so I could connect the auxiliary light high beam relay to it.
