Sorry, it just doesn't work for me.
If they were talking Gibberish or mock German it would probably be hilarious.
I am fluent in both languages and I never translate.
My brain is wired to think in German when it hears or sees (writing) it and the same with English.
I just can't hear people talk in German and read something totally different in English at the same time.
I bet it would be hard for you guys to read subtitles that say something totally different than what's being said.
In two languages it it just confusing!
And without sound it's not really that funny.

LW I really love a good laugh and my friends appreciate that I can make them laugh too.
I don't know how many languages you speak and if you can even comprehend how it is to "think" and even dream in another language.
Most people can't, but many still see that as an achievement and not a handicap or even as no sense of humour.
Do you actually have any idea what these guys are really saying in the clip?
Maybe if you did, it would also disturb you enough to stop you from laughing even though the subtitles are really funny.

Well, each to their own of course.  For thos of use who don't think  in German do a youtube search on Hitler parodies and you'll find loads of them.. far better than my humble 1st attempt

Mecki... i speak more than a few languages...the hitler parodies are very funny....get a grip!!.......i can listen to my satnav in english whilst riding in germany (hence reading and translating in German from road signs, and thinking on norwegian)...none of this makes my ears bleed or shorts out my sense of humour chip :-[ :P ;D ;D ;D ;D :)

Wow - reading road signs in German while listening to the satnav in English?
What a feat -  voice says, "in 200 yards turn right" and the sign at the intersection reads "Hamburg 135km" which you translate into "Hamburg 135km".  And all the while you think in Norwegian about what?
Try reading a book in German and watch a dialogue in English at the same time on TV and tell me how much of each you remember afterwards.
If you remember even half of one or the other you are doing very well indeed.
As I said - I don't translate - my brain just switches between languages without me even having to think about it. It just happens.
But if you can't do that you most likely do not understand how that is.

I don't mind making fun of the nazis and the second clip is actually very funny even with the language confusion. Probably because the subtitles stay long enough to be able to read them slowly and the characters behave in line with the subtitles and don't just stand around talking.

I can eat a curry from India while drinking lager from Denmark while thinking about Italian ice cream for desert, does that make me tri-lingual

Well, the curry doesn't really count, since it's most likely just English with a "Goodness Gracious me" mixed in. ;D
