Yep, this afternoon at about two thirty in the afternoon I saw a black, possibly 2010 onwards GTR heading out of The Isle of Skye just about to go over the bridge with a few other bikers, was it anyone on here I wonder?
Wait for the tumbleweed!! :)
Well it wasn't me that's for sure ;D ..... but chaps, as a result of Mr Wolfs' visit I have been looking at the IOS website ... and yes I know they only show you the twice a year sunny phots but that aside what a lovely part of the world is up there ( during daylight hours, and summer ) ;D of course ! You Northern lot must have been up there surely ? Anyone with other tales of Skye adventures ? It would be a mega trek for me form the softy south coast but you know a long day up with a stop at Glasgow or thereabouts and then up and on for a few days then take a couple of days to come back south, perhaps via the East side of this glorious land ....... hhmmmm, perhaps that needs some looking at !
I've been there by sea but never by road, its a beautiful place providing you can tolerate the mozzies that plague the place. ;)
Rusty, whatever your future plans. There are far better places to stop than Glasgow!

Loch Lomond for instance is just a few miles further north.
Glasgow is a good night out though :)

I didn't want to say that in case I offended anyone, but nevertheless it's a very valid point
I'm just bypassing Glasgow now on the M8....what a dump! ::)
I mustbe going dislecksick in my old age as I intially read this thread as
Topic: Black Spotted GTR on The Isle of Skye 9th September
and thought Scotland had a new colour scheme!
P
Lord Rusty, everyone should experience Glasgow. Let's put it this way, its different ;D
If I hadn't been working from home the one day last week, I could have spent the whole week touring Scotland visiting branches in readiness for our big switch over this week (and all at works expense!). Instead, I had to listen to my colleague relay the delights of driving though Scotland.
I've had some great nights in Glasgow though was serving on hms Glasgow at the time. The nurses of York hill hospital were very hospitable. I think being a welshman and not a sassenach helps a lot mind you. :D

I had to google sassenach. I see its the non complimentary form!
No offence intended Asif. Having spent 24 years working alongside glaswegians have picked up some of their lingo :P
Lol, none taken. Lived in Livingston for a few years so got used to most of the lingo. Hadn't heard that particular one though.

Bradford is worse. Got home popped into the local Co-Op and it was just like I'd never left my home town. Two drunks in there stocking up on cans of Stella for their Saturday night, oh joy! ::)
I am one of these chaps that will try most things once .... I say again ... " most " things ;D ;D
So it will have to be Bradford AND Glasgow .... I shall let you know my opinions ... if I ever survive ;D ;D
