Well i collected the new GTR earlier and fell in love with it straight away, i have just sat down on it with the handbook and worked my way round things apart from one, the book says to press an orange mode button to switch on the economy mode and that a eco indication will appear on the lower left of the display, well i dont have the mode button and cant see eco anywhere.
So, does anybody else with a 11 model bike know how to default to eco mode, and if i do just happen to sneak out of it get it back into eco mode?
I am one very happy geezer right now.
Alan
You need to hold down the change display mode button for a second to turn the Eco mode on. Same to turn it off again.
And which is the change mode display button?
A
Congrats ;D
I have a 2011 too, the Eco symbol comes on he display when you are riding economically, it is different to the actual Eco mode which is selected by the switch on the left bar and changes the engine map, indicated by the green light on the dash.
Hope that helps.
Enjoy

The same one you use to switch between Battery, Temperature, Tyre Pressure etc.
Found it, it was hiding behind the grip.
Still love the bike.

I have a 2011 also but dont have any green lights on the dash to indicate that I'm in economy mode - box appears in bottom LH of LCD display with ECO in it
The rather silly indicator that tells you that you are riding economically comes on whenever I am not accelerating - constant 50mph in 1st the symbol comes on constant 50 in 6th gear and the symbol comes on - totally pointless
Alan, congratulations on picking up the GTR. Everything will gradually fall into place and you will gel with the bike in no time. Dont be afraid to put some photos on if you wish, we always like to have a gander at each others machines. ;D
I also don't know what green light Cartman is talking about.
The only green light I am aware of is the one that indicates that you have changed the setting of the linked brakes.
Fantastic news ..... get out there and ride it !!! ;D ;D
