hi all, still getting used to my gtr, went out on it yesterday, for a liesurely ride, stopped the bike for around 15 minutes, when i restarted it the f1 warning came on and started flashing, bike was riding ok,got it home turned off the ignition for 2 minutes then started it back up,problem seems to have gone, the book says fuel injection fault?? bike seems ok has anyone else experienced this.i am putting the bike in for a service on wednesday.bike has done 2400 miles.
sorry i have posted this in the wrong place, dont know how to transfer it into general discussons SOZ !!
My GTR did once cut out on me within a few meters of home but that was when the oil warning light came on. Stiff baffled by that one as the oil was fine and plentiful, it's never done it since.
As for the F1 warning light, it could be simply a glitch but I would definitely mention it to the dealer when the bike gets serviced on Wednesday as a precaution.
I can't explain why it came on though, they will probably do a diagnostic check on it or at least they should.
ABS sensors can also apparently trigger the FI light and that is what the mechanic says is causing ours to come on periodically. He's cleaned them and is going to refer it to Kawasaki if it continues to happen. It still is, it came on again yesterday.
I've seen several owners of the 2010 model report this. It didn't ever happen on our previous GTR.

Same as cars...too many electronics....Engine management lights seem to come on if you Fart in modern cars....! Something to do with Emissions apparently.....
Keith If the bike is running ok forget about it. It does say in the handbook that if anything like this happens just switch ignition off then back on again and all will be well. My 011 has done it once but has always run perfect, dont beat yourself up just get on and enjoy the bike. :D
Keith ... as above .. Mine had a fit and flashed up in the first few days I had it but I was so excited about having the new bike that I didn't even think about it or look at the book ... only reading this thread has reminded me about the incident, which was back in March ... 7000 miles later all is well and I can't stop smiling so don't worry ;D ;D
