Title: brake pads
Post by: tapps on March 20, 2022, 06:06:30 PM
i have noticed a lot of SQUELING from the front brake pad's on my GTR, when i replaced the pad's about a year ago, a pal of mine fitted them for me, i noticed me never applied copper slip to the rear of the pad's, i've looked to see if the lining's are good, and there's plenty left, i'm going along the line's of getting them replaced, is it worth getting the OEM PAD'S or would you go for an alternative brand.

Take pads out, clean pistons, copper grease back of pads, refit them making sure that the anti-squeal spring is fitted correctly and snugly held in place by the pin. Most common cause is the spring the wrong way around.
