Hi All
I have been reading up on how to take my front wheel out, and watching the video's it shows a 17mm axle spindle nut, but on mine a 2011 model i have found out that it is a 22mm. Also wathing the video it looks as though you undo everything from the right hand side of the bike and not touching anything on the left hand side. Is this correct? Because when i last put it through its MOT it was suggested that i replace my front wheel bearings. I have lso ordered a stepkey of the internet and it is a solid piece with the step through sizes, but won't seperate for me to use the differnt sizes. Any advice wouldbe appeciated.
As it is due a service maybe i will let Autorama do it for me as they will have the correct tackle even though it will cost me quite a bit extra, but at least i will have piece of mind that it will be done correctly, because if i try and take itout myself and if something goes wrong i will be stuffed.
Thanks
Glen
The stepkey is just a one-piece item. Spin it around until it fits in the axle and then use a socket spanner over the end. No need to undo anything on the loeft side. The captured nut in the left fork stays where it is.
Heres a couple of picture of a ZZR front end. Exactly the same (I don't have a GTR any more)
Bugga, it won't let me add another picture. Just throws an error message
