Had nice 170mile round trip down to Poole Harbour today :) :)
Some cracking good roads, helped by some good weather :) :)
Wouldn't mind one of these Sunseekers :) - lottery permitting of course - one looks like even has room to transport the bike ;)

Nice day for it too.
Just going to check a lottery ticket I found in my wallet ... a few weeks old ... if I come up with 6 numbers I'll give you a shout and we can build our own boat with a Gtr ramp and a runway ;D
Some great looking boats there. I've never been to Poole but I understand they have a bike meet once a week down on the front.
Now there's an idea ....... ;D ;D

The bike meet I think is every Wednesday night on the Quay side
Lord rusty, a local meet down ere in sunny saaarrrf would be a result. the whippet and drystone wall lads seem to do ok in that dept ;D ;D
More than happy to try and arrange a meeting/rideout for those of us down here in the sunny saaarrrf - I already do that for the Knights Templar lot and I act as rides coordinator for my local IAM group
You can always roll the knights meet & GTR meet together in one?
Knights Templar ?? do you do social rides within IAM or is it for training side ?

Knights Templar Motorcycle Touring Club - KT MTC -> http://www.knightstemplarmtc.org/ (http://www.knightstemplarmtc.org/) Is a motorcycle touring club for people who are interested in European tours but we also have weekends away in the UK and from May through to Sept I normally organise a monthly rideout for those of us in the "southern" area. FH and myself are both members and this year so far we have had a 10 day tour of France, a long weekend in the Dales and to come is a trip to the Italian Dolomites plus one or two day trips to France etc.
I am a member of the Wilts & Bath IAM group (WaBAM) and throughout the year we have "social" ride outs including monthly rideouts plus we also try to squeeze in breakfast runs and half day rides. The rides are open to all group members, including associates ie those under training and the rides are open to guests. We also from time to time have informal rides and weekends away.
Its no wonder I clock up 10-12k miles a year

Aye, and wait till you see what LW posts later on. Awesome rideout today.
The reason we call it the 'grim north' is to keep the southerners away ;D

sounds like a good mix of social a hols. me an swmbo both work shift patterns which cut into wkends an ultimately what we can do with riding.
as regards our "ruf tuf bacci chewing cousins up norf" i have gd news !!! been in touch with kwawsaki uk who have confirmed a special edition gearbox which has 2 creaper gears before first so that the whippets can run alongside on way t' cafe
had look at knight templar webpage. am impressed, warm dry days vineyards brother bikers, plenty beer after riding !! hard to find downside
Theyr'e a cheeky lot these Southerners aren't they?
;D
i thought maybe a whicker sidecar "wallance n Gromit" style would be cheeky so didnt suggest it ;D

All my pics are from the prestige Northern trip today which you will find in the Adventure section under Hartside Cafe ;D
