I've bought a silver cover for my Givi V46 topbox but would really like to colour match it to the bike, which is Neutron Silver. My local Kawasaki dealer (pre-lockdown) doesn't stock it and pointed me towards RS Paints. Their website says 400ml Neutron Silver plus 400ml Clear (aerosols) comes to just over £45 but shipping to Northern Ireland is extra.
They're closed so I don't know how much extra but the bill is going to be over £50.
I'm a bit tight and don't want to spend that much for all the paint I'll need. I think somebody local would paint the thing for £50 if I could get a decent match mixed up from a comparable paint code but the mix for Kawasaki 17N (Neutron Silver) doesn't seem to appear anywhere I've asked so far.
Any suggestions welcome from anyone who's done something similar are welcome.
I've used RS bikepaints in the past and their colours are very good. couple of points - 400ml would be enough to do at least 3 covers and you don't need to use their clearcoat. I think you'll find that the paint is water-based. just for information

What Burchy said........ :agree:
Being "a bit tight" won't help as RS Paints are a bit costly, but they are very goo, and you will get what you pay for
Have you tried or considered Halfords? They do a colour match service and I doubt they'd charge anything like that. Might be worth a punt?
Halfords no longer do a colour match service according to my local branch. I've bought touch up paints from them before and been happy. Didn't know that RS paint was water based but probably should have realised because everything is now. That'll probably make it more difficult to cover the existing paint. I've also walked round a couple of car supermarkets with the GTR battery cover hoping to find a car that's a close match. Might have to put up with it good old plain silver.
PS Thanks for suggestions so far.
