Title: Gear indicator switch
Post by: PRD on April 14, 2020, 09:44:26 AM
I have noticed some incorrect readings on my screen. For example being in old and it says I'm in third. So where is the switch? Can it be cleaned?

I am into my 4 th week of self isolation not feeling to bad 👍
The works told me not to come back if I didn't feel 💯 because of the other drivers which is understandable but now the said get sick notes  :mfr_lol: so speaking to the doctor tomorrow.
To be honest I'm not in any rush to drive a bus while this is going on .
Hope you and your good lady are well 👍

My Gear Indicator was going a little haywire last week, took it apart, on the engine side you will have 2 x brass type pins with springs attached after removing the switch, give the tips a clean with fine wire wool also wipe clean/dry the actual switch and wire wool it evenly across the surface.
there will be an O ring so reinstall carefully. disconnect the 4 wire gear indicator green connector and clean the contacts, mine is like new now.
