Purely to keep the unemployment figures down in Swansea.
Put a penny per litre on fuel, no extra collection cost, no evading payment and much fairer for those of us with more than 1 bike.

Would be nearer 10p per litre, but I still agree 100%.  My nipper  has just had his through for his Jag. About £400 for 3000 miles a year, whereas his missusdoes 30000 miles a year in an Audi A1 1600 diesel and pays nowt

A bit of a consensus forming here I think.

I pay road tax on all four of my bikes but have never been a skilful enough biker to ride more than one at a time.

My Jaguar XE cost me £465 for the year even though it is one of the most efficent diesel engines around. This because it has a list price of over £40k* and government policy therfore assumes I am a Rich B*st*rd and should have spent my money on a Tesla.

Yes, generate the revenue on fuel (or electricity) and those who use pick up the bill.

*I paid nowhere near that for it as it was a used car and probably no more money than a Nissan Juke brought on a PCP.

+1 on that comment rusty, they seem to outline them with white paint, then if your lucky, i mean very lucky a week later they will fill them in, they are a right hazard,by DRAYTON CROSSING,the junction heading towards OVING,there were a mass of pothole's, they were deep and getting real bad, was bad enough trying to miss them in a car, even worse on a motorbike, they've spent all that money on that death trap of a SMART MOTORWAY,on the M27,scrap that !!!!! & sort those pothole's out.

That's my understanding too.........whatever happened to the idea that a "cold spell kills all the bugs"
