Title: Greetings from North Devon
Post by: thesorcerer on October 20, 2019, 10:20:23 PM
I bought my GTR1400 on 1st October and so far I am loving it.  I did 105 mile round trip to Minehead and back a little while ago and I have never had such a smooth ride before.  Am looking for many years with this one.

Nice area to be in.  There's usually a good Kawasaki Riders Club meeting in Porlock in May each year.  Might be worth tagging along...

The A39 from Bridgewater to Barnstaple is one of my all time favourite rides.
Lived in St. Audries when I was a kid. Love the area.

Welcome to the forum. My nephew moved to Devon when he qualified as a vet because he's really into kite surfing and says the area is perfect for that.
Hope you continue to enjoy your new purchase.

What dates are you looking at?

I'm minded to have a run down to Devon on the bike at some point this month.

Pete.

I'm in if this weekend is a possible. Get it in there before we're down to six only. I was intending to do Cheddar Gorge, just for the trip on sunday, so could easily be about.

Its a pity but I already have commitments for this weekend.

I have a place in south Devon that I am intending to take a ride down to on the A roads sometime later this month, but I have also loaned it out to my family until Monday so probably somtime over the following two weeks.

Always up for a ride out when I can though, so I hope everyone continues to shout up - the starts will surely align at some point

Anyone fancy the Elan Valley on Monday???

Oh yes. We certainly got the weather. Used the Premier Inn as a base.

Rode down on Sunday from Middlesbrough, North Devon run out on Monday. Land's end Tuesday. Southern Devon Wednesday, then home Thursday.

1259 miles door to door and enjoyed every mile of it. 55.9 mpg avg.
