So what is your favourite brand and model of intercom, why and do you use it for rider to pillion or rider to rider(s)?
Sena SMH 10, dual, I have had it for years and it works well, I don't need communication with other riders just my pillion
I am a Sena convert, having come from Interphone. I use both Rider to pillion and rider to rider(s)
I seem to have an Autocom system on mine hidden under the rear seat, I haven't looked yet, but the cables & sockets are visible from the rear seat so I'm assuming something is there. Perhaps one day I shall look!
I had the SMH 10 for years. Never really used it for the intercom, just used it for sat nav directions, and music when on the boring motorway journeys. Battery used to last the whole day and more.
Changed to a SMH 20 as i thought the radio would be useful, but it was useless. Thought the controls weren't as easy to use as the SMH 10
Now using the built in unit on the Schuberth C3 pro. Again, i find the controls fiddly, but the unit itself works well.

Shaggs you need to get the remote control, the Sena one works as basically the Schuberth SC1 is a Sena 10U. It will transform the ease of use of your intercom/headset.
Thanks for the heads up on that. I'll look into it

Do you have the 4 button remote or the one with the round dial?

I have one by Sena
The 4 button one is the later edition to the above. I have two, I got the second one off eBay for £20 new.
I love the SC1 advanced on the Schuberth. The battery lasts for 2 days, and the ease of changing the battery is great plus you do not have a 'brick' attached to the side of your helmet lol.
Great thanks. That looks easier than the 4 button one i think

The remote I have has a rechargeable battery which last a few months, the four button one has a battery you need to change (ie non-rechargeable lol)
Looks slick that C4. Think i may have a look at the two remote controls if i can find a local dealer, to see which one i find easier to operate. I'll definitely get one or the other though, as it will stop a lot of messing around, thanks.

Once you get a remote, you will wonder why you did not get one earlier shaggs, the Schuberth SC1 is rubbish without as it is near impossible to get to the controls when on the move. There are two current versions of Sena remotes available, the one I have has been superseded. Great idea to find a dealer and try one out.
To all Sena/Schuberth owners: have you upgraded you firmware? The latest is V2.1 which is compatible with IOS13, however the major breakthrough was with V 2.0 which allows you to select either priority and also hear both intercom and gps at the same time. The most annoying thing with previous versions was that gps was priority and would cut off an intercom conversation which was extremely annoying. Sorted with the latest firmware.
The latest Sena's are the 20s Evo and the 30k. The latter having the plus mesh feature....

I have the plus mesh adapter which effectively gives my 'older intercom' plus mesh.... not much use if you do not use rider to rider, but fantastic if you communicate with one or more riders.
Here is how it works
