Title: Insurance again
Post by: ChrisB on September 30, 2019, 03:08:31 PM
So it's that time of year when the fun and games start. My current company has sent an insurance renewal quote which is just a little more than last year, not bad I thought until my son introduced me to Quidco. Using the Quidco cashback comparison system I can save up to £20 on my insurance price (exactly the same as previous policy) and get a £25 cash back on top. It works and I did it for my wife's car insurance as well and got a cash back of £29.

Also if you put my account number in as a referral, you get an additional £12.50 cashback and I get £12.50 as well.
My code if you care to use it is:

https://www.quidco.com/raf/6750479/

As I said, my son introduced me to this in February and so far I have earned just under £300 to date, on stuff that I would have bought anyway. I got £75 from SKY and £50 from the RAC. Take a look, and please use the link above for the extra cash back and my referral cash back.

Sounds like a great idea. When you say you have earned just under £300, do you mean earned or saved?

I have earned just under £300 since February, sometimes it is as little as a few pence or as much as £200 per transaction in the case of a savings ISA I took out using Quidco as a conduit. You claim the cashback as and when it becomes available (there is often a waiting period, especially for items bought on any monthly pay scheme). To date I have received £160 in the bank with about £140 in credit and around £200 waiting confirmation. Not all retailers are on the system but many of the larger firms such as Argos, Currys, BandQ, and others are there. All you do is log onto the Quidco site and register, then search for the shop or product you are looking for and follow the link. There are offers sometimes posted but not always what you want when you want it. The major things I have bought this year (which I would have bought anyway) are: RAC cover, car insurance, house insurance, 2 x TVs, Gifts for the wife from Hobbycraft and lots of bits and bobs. There is no extra charge and takes just an extra 20 seconds to go via the conduit rather than direct to the retailer site.
