Title: Forward Lean ?
Post by: kellyboy on July 24, 2019, 12:06:48 PM
Hello all. Just perusing the cycle-ergo.com website. (gives you variations on the riders triangle for all bikes that you can tailor to your height) and it shows that the post 2010 bikes have a forward lean of 17 degrees compared to the pre 2010 of 12 degrees! Is this borne out by those that have ridden both and does the later model feel more wristy. I have only ridden the pre 2010 and found that to be fine. Opinions appreciated as I hope to make the plunge and buy one  after this season.

Went from a 2007 to a 2013 and I didn't notice anything different, as far as I can remember

Cheers Burchy-I'm hoping its a typo on the website 'cos I cant see why they would make a tourer more 'wristy'. I was running a z1000sx until January of this year which had a 17degree f/lean on it and I needed to fit risers to make a 300 mile day more palatable.

Best I've done was 450 miles in a day and didn't suffer with a bad back or a numb arse

Neah, I've had four GTRs between 2008 and 2016 - same seat, same frame, no difference, I did fit a Top Sellerie seat to my last GTR it was 'all day comfy'

Well that appears to nail it. The cycle ergo 17 degrees f/lean has to be a typo and it should be the same 12 degrees as the first generation gtr14. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Regards, Dave.

You can always put risers on the bars up to 2 inches. I have a Sargent seat on mine as well.
