Any suggestions as to which LED headlight bulb is the best to go for?

I have the kit below fitted, the heat sinks are removable and allow fitment of the rubber seal easily. Very bright and a very good beam pattern.

I've read somewhere that proper HID kits on a bike have to be self-levelling, as do cars.  Cars have little sensors often on the suspension wishbones.  I can't see an MoT inspector checking this, but an awkward plod may well do so

The OP is asking about LED Headlight bulbs not HID bulbs, there is no requirement for LED bulbs to have wash wipe or self adjusting headlamp level.

I have these now:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32985557495.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.34c64c4daCITd2

And they work quite well.  The big advantage is that their heatsink and fan are all safe inside the reflector behind the rubber seal, so no bluky stuff sticking out and no sand or water that can damage the fan either.

I previously tried these:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32954039077.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.34c64c4daCITd2

They have a detachable heat sink so you can first install the lamps, then install the rubber sealing and finish by installing the heatsink. The amount of light is ok, but their light output pattern was not good enough for my taste.
