on my way home last night approaching a roundabout the engine started jerking, it was as if it was running out of fuel,i put it in ECO mode and it seemed to clear, it happened while i decelerated then went to accelerate.i've never had this before, i checked the fuel range, it had 85 miles lef in the tank.
Check that the breather pipe isn't blocked under the fuel cap Tapps. Might be worth a look.

it's never missed a beat before,i's a bit worrying, dont wanna end up pushing it home,i will check the breather pipe.i'm hoping it's just a glitch or a bit of :shit: in the fuel.
Hopefully a bit of crap in the fuel or vapour lock. I'm sure it'll be fine

i did notice while it was sat in the sun there was a hissing sound from the filler cap area.it was very hot.
"they all do that"
Mine never hissed at me. I can't remember it ever doing that. Sounds like the venting system isn't working right. I've never opened the gas cap and heard a whoosh in any temperature and it gets hot over here. Could be the gas cap assembly is clogged up somewhere.
When I owned the GTR, there were one or two occasions when it began to run roughly without warning, particularly at low speeds. I too found that a switch to "eco mode" and then back again a few minutes later cured the problem. Mine also cut out a couple of times when fully warm on upward gear changes and immediately restarted when the clutch was let out, though nothing was ever found in the fault memory.
The fuel filler cap on my GTR didn't hiss when released, although the Versys did so every time. The dealer said that the Versys used a sealed fuel system to avoid spillage from overflow when full, whereas the GTR didn't.
if you take the seat off you'll find at the bottom of the tank there are two pipes with rubber hoses on them. The right-hand one is the breather pipe from the filler cap and the left-hand one is the overflow pipe from the filler cap. It might be worth putting some air down the right-hand one to make sure that the breather is clear.
