I am 6,3" tall, and on my GTR I simply attached a Laminar Lip, google it, it made the world of difference when the screen was up as it "threw" the wind over my head, I could happily sit behind the screen "progressing" at speed in almost total silence.

I am 6ft tall and almost always have a pillion but the bike is a 2009 with the smaller standard screen. I have tried a larger Powerbronze screen and the standard screen with Laminar lip. Neither worked to my satisfaction as I had to balanced between wind and/or buffeting. In the end a friend suggested I drill a row of 2" holes along the bottom of the screen to replicate the later letter box type vent. it is better but still not ideal and in my opinion is the only negative I have for the bike. BMW have it nailed on their RT range but I wouldn't touch a BMW boxer with a barge pole. I guess it is a case of try and see.

As suggested by Big Alan, a Laminar lip makes a big difference.

At higher speeds the screen can destabilise the bike.
It scared the hell out of me when I had run the bike in and started to wind it up.
I posted here as I thought there was something very wrong!
Of course it's a personal thing but I tend only to raise the screen at lower speeds when it's raining, otherwise its right down.
I'm 6'2", have 2" risers under the bars and am always 2 up.

I'm 6'4" and I have 3 screens.
For winter I have a Calsci XL/XW.
For Autumn/Spring I have a Calsci L.
For Summer I fit the OEM screen and mostly run with it down.

In 2016 I did 5000 miles over 2 weeks on my GTR, in some seriously bad Scandinavian weather sat behind an MRA Vario Touring screen, which I found to be superb.

Cheers
