Well after some sleepless nights thinking should I or shouldn't I, I have decided to sell probably the best bike I've ever owned so far, I bought it as me and the missus went touring and I wanted a bike that could handle everything thrown at it
She's now passed her test and got her own bike!!
To that end I thought I don't need such a big heavy beast and have decided to trade her in for a......
I'm doing a big tour in June down to Sarajevo to see the places I was based in the balkans war, along with a few other lads, I keep walking in the garage and apologising to her that I'm letting her go, it's been a difficult decision and one I've not taken lightly
I've enjoyed my what little time I've spent on the forum and I wish you guys well
Having said that I've a few goodies to sell, Akrapovic exhaust, kako cruise control, Givi 47l top carbon box, rear carrier, and possibly a TomTom rider 550
So I wish you guys luck and if you interested in my bits please PM me
And what is your replacement?
It's German......

Wise choice eh Pete? :whistling:
i knew that was coming! :mfr_lol:. Of course it might be a MZ in which case I would heartily approve.
Good luck with the new bike, you'll miss the GTR i'm sure, it's just how much. :nono:
I hope you've not bought a S1000XR it might not make it to the Balkans on one engine. Having owned one it was the most disappointing periods of my 40 years of motorcycle ownership. That and the Ducati Multistrada were both nightmare periods of ownership. :censored: :censored:
My first thoughts were a K1600 but then I realised it's even heavier than a GTR so that's a very doubtful choice. My money is on a GS or GSA....please do tell us what you've bought.
I know what he has bought he has told me!
