Title: NEC
Post by: ChrisB on November 06, 2018, 06:59:37 PM
Looking forward to the NEC show in a couple of weeks to see all the new bikes announced by lots of makers. NOT looking forward to the scandalous price to park and get in though. How come parking is free or very cheap for other shows.

I used to go every year then it got more to get in and less to see ,the small trade stands are not there any more priced out of going ,car parking is a rip off ,the reason we have to pay and others don't is as long as record numbers keep going they have no reason not to charge what they like ,

And another point, a motorcycle event in November, what a great time of the year to encourage bikers to attend.

Can you image how rammed an event like this would be if it was in the summer months when attending on a bike would be a pleasure.

I can never understand why you people would pay to attend a glorified showroom ! The manufacturers need us to go look at their bikes and accessories. Boycott for 2 years and they will drop or remove the charge

Just buy a magazine so much easier and cheaper to look at the new bikes!

I went last year very poor .
Went on the bike free parking in one of the empty halls a bonus .
A couple of the big traders richa, halvessons only had gear to view nothing to try on or buy what a big help some of the clothing traders like visiting a car boot for bikers shoddy cheap gear .
I used to go every year but just lately it's not worth the expense as someone said go to a dealer and try things 👍

I was thinking of going, for the first time in about 8 years. Not sure that what I want [ looking at new models] is worth the cost when I can go to my local dealer and  see three of the four main Japanese makers, with Yamaha and Triumph a minute or two away.
