Title: Strange noises
Post by: ray1151 on September 15, 2018, 05:42:21 PM
Bike was new last year and has just passed 10k miles. Coming back from the mcn ride 5000 miles meet up last weekend the bike sounded like a couple of the tappets were ticking. Just been working on another bike in the garage and had to move the kwack. Obviously motor was cold but again if a bit quieter that noise. Any thoughts
what it  might be people? (Oil & filter change in July @ 6k before holiday.)

Have you broached this with the dealer who sold you the bike?

That makes sense, I can't get my 7500 dealer service done for about another month.
Thanks Freddy

i fitted a

and spent a week looking for a rattle ..
turned out to be the small rollers on the side of the mount when the sat nav was not in it.

I've booked in with Bacon's in Ilford on 6/10 to catch up on the services.
Their first thought was that the cam chain tensioner was on the cusp of the next adjustment.
I need to do a couple of hundred miles this weekend, so let's hope they're right.
BTW, talking of sat navs my Tomtom got water inside on our holiday this year.
Got in touch with Tomtom who admitted there was a fault with the 2015 models and have collected and are fixing it foc although it's well out of warranty. Howzabout that for good service?

Nice to see good service getting recognised. I had bought a coat from Craghoppers through Go Outdoors. I couldn't remember how long ago I bought it and I had long lost the receipt; I noticed that the zip had started to rip at the bottom and approached Craghoppers who replaced the whole coat FOC as a good will gesture - very grateful

They had a big problem with some models with the touchscreen  where the rain kept changing the screen back to startup and people lost the routes unsure what years model may be around your year stated
