Spent yesterday riding through northern Belgium/Holland with 50 likeminded 1400GTR riders.

That's a decent turn out!
Good ride?
We didn't even achieve that number in the early days of our GTR meets.
Bet that was great. Can't see pictures on iPad though
That must have been great fun. What was the ride like?
For those who cannot see the linked images I have shrunk and attached them.
We had 51 1400GTRs turn up for the meet and one BMW GS :-)
We then rode from Kallo to Doel en masse (there is a video on Facebook) and then after some more photos we all made our own ways to Terneuzen for Lunch and then on to Blankenberge for a drink and finally to Ostende for Dinner.
The ride was FLAT as this is northern Belgium and Holland but mostly empty roads and fun people to ride with.
I enjoyed it and it was nice to see so many GTRs, all with their individual owners stamp on them.
The Facebook based group is for Dutch/Flemish speakers and they have 2 or 3 meets a year mostly with similar turnouts.
Hi George let me know if you are going next year.
Now that is what I call a meet.
Excellent George and thanks for sharing
May be, if George doesn't mind sharing, we could arrange a group trip??

that would be good.
I'll see what I can do. There will be a meet in the spring and another in Sept next year.

Sounds good, any excuse to get on a ferry, definitely up for this.
I noticed in boomers post it stated a Dutch/ Flemish speaking group would the understand a boy from the Black Country, brizzle bob and the whippet and cloth cap brigade only a thought :whistling:

I'm sure they will understand us better than we understand ourselves. If all else fails, point at their bike and give a thumbs up :mfr_lol:
Their english is properly better than ours innit.

Many of them speak very good English.

Not sure how they'd cope with certain regional accents though. :mfr_lol:
