I/we currently have Sena SMH 10, but might update
What do you have / recommend ?
We have a 14 year old autocom , hardwire . We run it on an open mic with a micro switch on the bars so i can power it off should the need arise. Open mic just makes a conversation so much more natural. We have tried blue tooth models and find them less convienient due to having to charge 2 units especially when out for a few days touring . What with 2 iphones and 2 ipads to charge at night we love the convienience and reliability of a hard wire system
Don't buy interphone, battery life is only a few hours, that was an expensive mistake.
We now have cardo freecom 2's.
2-3 day battery life, no pressing buttons to speak, all voice activated, completely waterproof.
+1 for interphone absolute pile of Rubbish.
I've just upgraded from Sena 20S to the new 30K, much improved sound quality and connection with other headsets is much better. Quite impressed with it so far.
My interphone has huge battery life, I took it to Normandy this year, charged before I went, used it for comms and nav daily, didnt need a charge until about 2-3 weeks after getting back home.
I also left it on the lid once switched on for over 2 weeks.. still had half juice in it.
Maybe they arent all created equal.
I have used the Interphone Urban for a couple of years and get a good week to 10 days out of each charge, I use the radio quite a lot when solo, makes no difference to the battery life!
That sounds good Tay ... my BMW System 6 helmet battery has only gone last year ... not hugely used but a lot of commuting music and a few calls on the way ... lasted about 3-4 years which I thought was pretty good.
I upgraded from Autocom to Bluetooth when I bought my Schubert C3 helmet. It was a big downgreat. I miss my autocom and might fit it again if I start riding with someone on a regular basis again. Also better if you want to listen to music
we use Midland BTX1 PRO dual hi fi speakers also there's an app to adjust via telephone, fantastic, and the tech service we have is absolutely BRILLIANT

Viper, where do you mount the Autocom?
I prefer to use that but looking at the underseat area there isn't much room !

Viper hasn't been on the forum since January this year, hope you're not in a rush for an answer.
we use a system much older than Viper's. When the boss wants to stop I get a dig in the ribs. Other than that we stop roughly every 90 minutes or when we need fuel.
.
I have just purchased a replacement Shoei Neotec 2 for my older earlier Shoei Neotec which has served me well, the replacement has a built in Sena SRL 2 system... I haven't had chance to try it yet so can't report back

I had mine on top of the KIPASS ECU with a bit of velcro tape.
Thanks. :cheesy:
I quite like it when there is no communication!!
N-comm is a very neat solution specific to Nolan helmets (everything is mounted on helmet/s). I've not used it with a pillion but have had my phone/satnav voice coming through continuously during very long riding days and battery life wasn't an issue. This included very long calls to my mate who I was riding with as we never had time to fathom out connecting together via intercom function (his was a different brand).
