Been looking at some vids on YouTube for changing the spark plugs ,looks straight forward , but then looked at the laser iridium plugs to buy ,and they are saying 60 -100 thousand miles that they last so as mine where changed at 7500 and now have 30000 on surely they don't need doing for another 30 thou , even tho folk seem to want to change theirs , any thoughts on this ,
Checked mine at 26,000 miles when I did the valves, the plugs didn't even need re-gapping, let alone changing.

If it's not broken don't fix it....simples
Changed mine at 26k, looked in perfect nick. Now at 73k (47k on the 2nd set) and runs fine.
I had mine changed around 50k miles, I think and only because I was feeling a bit guilty about not doing it. Couldn't tell the difference.
I spoke to NGK who suggested that Iridum plugs should last 100k miles without issue. However if not removed, cleaned and lubricated at recommended intervals, the plugs could corrode in the alloy head which is a very expensive repair/fix. There is an argument to change the plugs if you are going to the bother of removing them for cleaning, (particularly if paying someone else to do the whole job).
