It's normal the fans come on all the time , had mine 5 years and the fans always kick in early , the blocks are usually 1 above halfway , nowt to worry about ,, seats are a minefield ,

Hi Lloyd. I'm in Windsor and have the Kawasaki lowered gel seat on mine. Again your more than welcome to have a go on her (insurance permitting!) and see what you feel! I'm 5'8" with a really short inside leg of 29 and can get my feet down. Doesn't feel to talk at all. Can't say how comfy it is over standard but feels fine to me.

Take the seat off bunjy some cushions (garden seat ones are good) on to the height that you want and there you go.
Paying fortunes for a French or American seat I think is crazy, they are eye wateringly expensive and are made to someone elses idea of what is comfortable like the standard seat.
There are people all over the country who will by asking your weight and then asking for other preferences you may have will make you a seat.
I used http://www.motorcycleseatworks.co.uk I have heard other people say Tony Archer is good. Cost will be way under £200 for a seat made to fit you.

Re seats. I've never had one for a GTR (as I don't own the bike yet!) but I had a Tony Archer seat for my 1150GS Adventure. Now that is one tall bike, but TA made the seat both more comfortable and, importantly, narrower than the stock one. So though, on comparison, it wasn't any lower, I was far more able to get my feet down by virtue of not having my legs splayed out so far. It's one alternate approach if you're feeling that a lower seat would be better from a handling point of view - narrower might be better still. Oh and his quality is very good indeed, excellent workmanship and reasonably priced.

I have a Tony Archer seat on my 2009 model. It is much better than the standard seat for both me and the wife on the back and she no longer slides about on the back.
My temp guage is almost always at the middle and rarely fluctuates.
