Sure I have asked this before a while back but where to mount a Drift stealth camera .know one of the guys have made up a bracket thats fit under mirror but would really like a drift bracket but where to fit it ?
I'd be interested in answers myself, I am about to face the same task.
Adhesive mounts make me feel nervous, I'd be happier with a mechanical fixing but everyone tells me that modern adhesive pads are reliable enough.
Mounting under the air intake and above the front mudguard is on my mind as long as the image / lens can be rotated (and there is enough clearance when the suspension hits bottom).
On my last trip my old camera was fitted on a RAM mount and 150mm extension arm off the clutch lever bracket which threw if off enough to be clear of the windshield and still allow full lock when parking the bike up.
The problem with an arm is that vibration an be exaggerated - I have not got round to reviewing any of my video footage from Norway yet, I'll try and do so over the next few days and see if I have anything watchable!
Here's how I did my Drift. It's adhesive, though you could add a self taper.

Best way of checking that is get some of that green foam stuff florists use, cut it to size to match your camera and mount, stick in place and go ride (fully loaded) including some hard braking and rough roads
Drift suction cup mounts. I've been using them for years and not lost a camera yet.
I have 2 on the panniers, rear facing, and 2 on the lower fairing, forward facing.
They cost about £30 though I just bought another 2 (for the car) for £18 each
Trust me they work.
I know it's an oldish post but this is the way I mounted my GoPro & my Drift.
I used one of the Gopro ball joint arms so I could level the camera left to right as well as tilt up or down, I screwed a aluminum mounting plate that I fabricated to the bottom of the wing mirror housing then screwed the mounting bracket onto the plate.
It works very well.
