Title: Mileages
Post by: PRD on September 26, 2017, 08:46:02 PM
Looking round bike dealers I'm always amazed ath low mileages I see on bikes. So how many miles have we done on our current bikes. Since buying mine in July 2016 I have done 7000 miles. It had 1500 miles on it when I bought it.

Thanks guys.
I'm told it will up to 12 months before I'm fully recovered.
Hope to be able to ride in the spring.
Still hurts but can drive and back at work.

#1 2012 - 2015 ~62K miles
#2 2015 - 2017 ~42K miles
#3 2017 - now     13K miles

Not sure if GTRs will be around when I come to get the next one in 2019  :undecided:

I've had all of my bikes from new, fortunately I still have them but they have to share the love.

1983 Z1300 36,000 miles (1,100 miles per year)
2003 GSX1400 34,000 miles (2,400 miles per year)
2009 Z1000 9,000 miles (1,100 miles per year)
2017 GTR1400 6,500 miles (= about 8500 per year pro-rata!)

Although the individual mileages aren't that high I must spend a bit of time on the seat overall.

My other (currently crash damaged) bike is a 1989 GTR1000 that is at 193k miles. I bought it with 82k miles in 2001.
