I've Just fitted a DelKavic Stubby. Looks great IMO and sounds very nice with the supplied baffle fitted, haven't tried it with the baffle out yet. :punk:

Looking for an E certified...?
Dont know bout the UK, but laws and controls are getting more severe now over the channel.
In some countries you can loose your bike by fitting nolegals...

Pity anyhow...

:mfr_lol:   I  fitted an Akra to my 2008/9 GTR and transferred it to my 2010 model, the 2011 GTR I had was then fitted with a Two Brothers Pipe which I bought from a member on here, it sounded great but too loud until fitted with an exhaust tip Db killer, my last GTR was fitted with the Kawasaki Akrapovic pipe which although not very noisy sounded great

Ermmmm Alan, that makes four  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

+1...there are a number of videos on the Tube about the R&D that goes into the design of the exhaust by the manufacturer for that model. The only saving I can see is a fewer KG's....I'll spend the cost on other things...like some good wet weather suit, looks like we're going to need them for what's left of our summer... :biker3:

Akropovic if you have the cash without a doubt.
I didn't and fitted a 450mm carbon oval Delkovic, very happy with it, done a couple of thousand miles since.
Quiet burbelling along but a lovely sound when you open the taps. Hasn't done anything terrible to the fueling (also fitted a K&N) but they run so weak out of the box they really need the ecu remapped anyway, just seeing if my job is safe at the moment, if so I'm off to BSD in Peterborough to get the fuelling sorted properly.
BTW, weighs under 2 kilo the standard end can is 10kilos.

Probably better to go on a diet and lose weight rather than worry about weight of exhaust. That is  what I'm going to do.

I'm with Delkevnic line of thought!
The cost of the Delkevnic (chrome oval, mine was £120 with link pipe when bought) is minimal compared to some silencers that are fitted.
Performance upgrade, nope, I'm out for looks, and wight loss of original pipe must make a difference!
Really makes a nice sound, and asthetics so much nicer than the original, and with only 2 bolts to fix on, takes only 15 minutes to re-fit original before I go on tour, (can't be doing with hassle of Gendarmes questioning add-on's!)

Money saved on can can go towards grand days out! :)

Mmmm 8 kilos of pies......
Construction and use regs apply to the country the bike is registered in. As long as you have a kite mark you're ok. Don't ride like a cock, you won't draw attention to yourself and get pulled. I accept it's very difficult to argue the toss with foreign old bill who you have pissed off and who you don't understand.

Not sure about CE, but mine is marked BS AU 193 T3, so up to British standard:-
The requirements relating to silencers

3.—(1) The requirements with which a silencer must comply for the purposes of section 1(1) of the Act are that the silencer must be—

(a)clearly and indelibly marked in accordance with paragraphs 3.1 to 3.1.3 of Annex II to the Directive, or
(b)clearly and indelibly marked "BS AU 193/T2", "BS AU 193a: 1990/T2" or "BS AU 193a: 1990/T3" (being marks referred to in the British Standard Specifications indicating that certain requirements specified in those instruments are met).

To any body out there who has a Scorpion slip on fitted,
1.Do they drone at highway speeds.
2.Any fueling concerns,i.e.,flat spots, hesitation of any kind through the rev range.
3.Do you need to wear ear plugs when cruising,in other words is the exhaust note loud enough to hear at highway speeds.
4.Any more power with this slip on in real terms.
Any feed back would be appreciated, even on other slip ons which may fit the requirement of a good looking, quiet replacement for the original from actual owners to have made the upgrade.

No problems at all with this can.I chopped the baffel to make it louder. The red paint started to flake at the very end of the can but polished off ok.Ialso removed the sticker. All good for me I added rear footpeg hangers which made my partners boot touch the can so a RandG exhaust protector  solved the problem(http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x459/wildybeast/20160408_111434.jpg)[/URL]

Top quality exhaust well worth the extra £££££, a very pleasant tone no drone at any speed, no power gains either, and does look good. You do get a really nice growl when the red mist descends.

Agree with all of the above
