Remember them all. Saved up for a cricket bat once. Strange that can't stand the game! Green shield stamps later became Argos.
I used to collect some cards which you got in Typhoo boxes. I think they were from Typhoo boxes if not it was summat similar.

Yes the cards, all my mates collected them we would do a "swappy" if you were a card short on the full set.
Green shield - my first fishing rod came from them! And PG Tips cards, recall me fave was one on space exploration, me gran used to save them for me and like above, many happy hours of swaps in the playground!

?? People over here (US) collect it. I don't have any myself. What are the Civil War cards (assuming US Civil War)?
Mid 1960's civil war cards depicting scenes from American civil war. Came with chewing gum. Were with drawn as pictures were too unpleasant.

Yes distributed by a co called Topps cards. Each pack also contained confederate money. We used to buy cards we did not have with the money.
Complete set $469 on ebay.. Wasn't much of gum chewer so I never saw them or realized they existed.
Knew I should have kept them.

I collected DC comic mostly as a kid...Batman, Flash, Hulk, and load more, funny thing there making films and TV programs about them now... :yes:
If only I had them all now.....has anyone gone to a "Comic-con" you see articles in the press about it....looks like a lot of fun. :gunsmilie:
Not actually been to one, but there was one going on when we were in America a couple of years ago, I think we were in Atlanta. There were hundreds of people dressed up and a few photo shoots going on outside. It looked a lot of fun. I'll see if I can dig out a few pics

Oh, I miss the old annuals. My Aunt used to bring them over for presents. I think my mom binned them as well.
