Title: Front and Rear "Fender Extenders"
Post by: PaulB on August 28, 2017, 12:13:36 PM
Ok, my last remaining GTR accessories, which are now just taking up space.

The front and rear fender extenders were purchased from a forum member (Blue One?) and delivered from Canada.

They have never been fitted, and still have the instructions taped to the inside of each.

Currently on Flea-bay for £50, but will take any reasonable offer from forum members here.

Cheers

I'm intrigued as to what the Kipass bypass system is?

If your "cooker knob" stops working when you depress it (because of grit in the microswitch area) then this allows you to pull a fuse then reinsert it which will bring the system to life, as if you'd pressed the cooker knob in.

I got this after an incident at Nordkapp, which I've done to death

or you can reach inside the LH inner fairing, disconnect one of the connectors count to 10 & reconnect or hardwire a switch in.

That said Brians gizmo is good as its plug and play and you can always replace the fuse with a switch

NB It will work on any model year GTR14 if the KIPASS gets sticky

More accurately its a KIPASS reset than a Bypass although I know Brian refers to it as a Bypass.

Would you take £25 posted for the bypass?

I know, I know... Ordered after a 5000 mile trip in mostly rain, too much junk in the garage to work on the bike in the garage, so when the good weather came and I could work on it, I rode it instead :mfr_lol:

It was on my "to do" list, but... change of bike now.

Cheers
