Title: Value
Post by: vfrtom on August 25, 2017, 11:55:51 AM
Regrettably, due to ill health, I will be forced to give up biking. This means the sale of my beloved gtr. Can anyone advise of value.
It is a 2010 in Grey (brown really) 32000 miles . FSH. Fitted with HIDs, Adventure Bars Sat Nav mount and Top Box. Prepared to throw in  tank cover and bag (Bagster) and Autocom if the price is right.

Many thanks
Tom

Sorry to read of your bike retiring illness .... that must be very hard to deal with. In the real world I would estimate your GTR to be worth 5.5 to 6 K .. lovely though I am sure it is there are a few out there. Anyone else got an idea ? Take a look at Auto Trader... that I am sure would be more definite.

Once they get over 30 thou on the clock , do seem hard to sell , the hard bit is finding some one with cash ,  £5-6 if you are lucky ,, ,

My opinion is that its worth what someone is prepared to pay, and please don't think that is a smart arse answer, what I'm saying is that if sold privately it could be worth £5 -6 K, a dealer would probably offer more in part exchange (depending on his current stock position ) and I appreciate that as you are giving up biking that this option doesn't apply to you, but dont forget that bikes like yours offered for sale through a dealer will be fully serviced , prepared and should carry a warranty,  therefore a dealers retail price will be proportionately higher.

Good luck with your sale and sad to hear of your circumstances

I sold my 2011 with 32k miles on last week, full of extras for £5950 full service history the works. Sold to a member on here.

I might suggest if yours is the earlier version of the bike then £5k might be the correct price.

There not a common bike so finding someone who wants one can be a lottery.

+1 with OC - if you do advertise the Bike i have had a lot of success with Gumtree actually sold the Monster last week only took 2 days to sell, advertised the same earlier in the year with Autotrader didn't get a sniff in two weeks.
