Has anyone seen Hacksaw Ridge? I bought the 4K version and both the story and attention to detail are flawless. A must see at any cost.

I don't remember it being that long, funny how your memory works, will have to search Netflix for this one and that Hacksaw Ridge.
My granddaughter (20) went to see the new Dunkirk, said it was great and it opened her eyes as to how young the guys were, and said she wonders how many of today's guy's would stand up and be counted??? best we never have to find that one out

Your granddaughter is absolutely right, They were very young (some even younger in WW1 conflict)
I think a lot of today's guys do actually stand up to be counted, and sadly suffer the loss of limbs in the process
When Charlie and I went to Scotland last year we stopped and spent some time at the Commando War Memorial at Spean Bridge. Charlie had never been there before. Whilst there are memorials for fallen soldiers from WW1 & WW2 there are also memorials from more recent conflicts...it's a very thought provoking and emotive place.
Where we stayed in France last month there's the "mémorial de la résistance"..........
