Title: dry lakes
Post by: ChrisB on July 08, 2017, 04:10:18 PM
I know you may not believe this but so far this year on the GTR we have spent a week in N Ireland at the NW200, a week touring Scotland up the east side to Aberlour then down the west side via Oban. last week we went to the Lake District and spent a few days and nights near Keswick. Guess what? we did not get wet on any of the trips. I know, I know, hard to believe but the only rain we saw was a 2 minute shower in N Ireland but we were not on the bike that day. Next month we may venture to S Wales or Devon just to see if we can find some rain.

Yes Mr Wolf you are talking them, we have had 2 long weekends in Keswick this year and both were gorgeous weather no rain at all.

It is a stunning place to visit and live (apart from some of the tourists)  :mfr_lol:

I experienced the effects of very severe flooding in 2009, when my mates house was filled with water from Lake Windermere, I don't mind admitting that it was a very frightening experience
