Too bloody hot!!
I've been out in my car today, (mmmm air con). Seen tons of bikes out including a big ride out group of hundreds!
Too hot for me, black leather, and black lid!
30C is not for me!
So who went out then?
Had a short ride today the fan was on all the time , to bloody hot , hope it cools down a bit As am off the the French Alps on Wednesday , forcast is 32 for Geneva, should be cooler in the mountains I hope , taking vented gear , won't need waterproofs,,,
great day today, all vents open on my jacket ,nice breeze when riding , a bit warm when we stopped a couple of times ,did Stanhope , Middleton Teesdale ,Hawes, Leyburn, Richmond, around 165 miles great roads great weather ,hope this lasts , my fan cut in a couple of times when in traffic ..
We went out at 11am but called it a day appx 12.30pm far too Hot to ride in, and every Knob head was also out in their cars. Incorrectly adjusted windscreen washers squirting every where except the screen, bebris thrown out of the windows and worst of all were 2 x cyclists riding side by side and a queue of traffic waiting to overtake them not qiving a Fcuk for the traffic behind even though they were Heckled a few times by the overtaking vehicles.
we went out for a little blast to a beer garden , probably the 2nd time ever ive not had leather pants on , just jeans , wore everything else tho
I went to Squires near Leeds this afternoon and it was rammed. One guy there with leathers on had them round his ankles the entire time I was there giving everyone an insight into his underwear. :mfr_lol:
had a stonking ride out today, met my mate (Super Tenere) at his house in Greenisland and we rode to Newtownabbey, Belfast,
Dundonald, Newtownards, alongside Strangford Lough to Portaferry then took the short ferry ride to Strangford onwards to Downpatrick and Newcastle (no, not upon Tyne) returning through Clough, Ballynahinch Hillsborough, Lisburn, Belfast, Ballyclare, and home again. The weather was truly stunning as is the scenery and it was a fantastic ride out in 25 degrees c and about 100 or so miles
Brilliant, Brilliant Brilliant
I was thinking of a night time ride but a BBQ and a few beers killed that idea
Very warm in chalons en champagne.

It's very warm in Bradford.
I'm glad I kept the GSX1400 when I bought the GTR.
A very enjoyable ride out to the coast with no fairing in front of me

I was there as well. I had to wear full textiles and a yellow bib all day, leading the Yamaha demo fleet for 2 days. I nearly died of heatstroke!

Ok, that's 86 degrees in real numbers.. You guys have got it so good. :mfr_lol: Typical summer weather here is upper 80's to 100 or so. And I still ride in it.....with an 08. The Indian (air/oil cooled 1800cc +) is hotter than the GTR and I ride that as well.

Everything has to be bigger in America!! :mfr_lol:
:mfr_lol: Well, it is a big country...
Got caught in a traffic tie up (accident) yesterday and was on the Indian Roadmaster. Air cooled engine with a bike not moving. My thighs were cooked. The GTR has no heat issues compared to this bike in stop and go driving.
Time to change Jim :mfr_lol:
I don't think so. I love riding the Roadmaster. I try to avoid Interstates but wanted to get home more quickly. That's what I get. 10ft and stop, 10ft and stop. The first time I rode the GTR any distance I got caught in a traffic jam in Ashville NC and got cooked. Once that bike broke in the heat minimized substantially.
