Just completed a 400 mile round trip, towards the end I was having a bit of wrist ache, just wondering if bar risers might help?
Put them on mine it was like having a new bike ,a lot more upright and comfy riding position, would recomend ,, :biker3:
Risers, plus a "throttle rest" which cost just a few quid from eBay.
Helluva difference.

For me a cruise control (kaoko) was great gainst wrest pain on right hand on long trips :punk:
Bar raiser only helps when you are tall ?
Not sure about the benefits of Risers only if you are tall.
Its about posture mostly, I know quite a few people that are no where near as tall as me with them and they swear by them, I'm 6'3" and am torn between using my ones.

I'm 5,8 and have 70mm risers so I sit upright which I find very comfortable.
Many thanks for all advice. Would seem riser's and throttle lock (kaoko), are things to consider, any recommendation's for make of riser's?
Genmar's seem quite popular, I have Genmar 2 inch risers, not found time or inclination to fit them right now.
Thank's for the advice, if fitting say 2' riser's do the cables need altering/extending in any way, considering it as an option for my tour down to Croatia in September.
I'm hoping the wrist ache experienced is down to not having ridden that far for a while, and with a few more miles under the belt will not be an issue.
The friction lock look's a good idea in any case
Cheer's

Two inch risers don't require any modification to lines or cables. The brake and clutch line unbolt from the triple and bolt to the riser. 5 minute job
70 mm rise is good with no mods 🐖
If your wallet can take it go for some of these.Multi adjustable.https://www.helibars.com/products/HeliBars%C2%AE-Horizon%E2%84%A2-ST-multi%252daxis-adjustable-handlebars-for-Kawasaki-GTR1400/582.html
Ouch

I removed the risers of my 09 when P/X ed and fitted to my 14 plate no issues with cables or fitting as stated a quick easy job
I have 2" risers fitted on to 2" step back risers.
This makes 4" up and 1" back.
Still not 100% but pretty close compared to what it was.
I'm 5'8" and just prefer the upright posture.
No issues re clutch and brake pipes being too short but they need an extra home made support bracket in place to stop them flopping about.

Is it classed as a chopper now ;D

So at 6'2" the screen is just tall enough if I slouch a bit, risers sound tempting but would they put me in the wind by making me sit up straighter? Any tallish riders with risers out there?
.
I'd like to try some risers.. I see a few of the replies state some of you have them but not fitted.. if you want to sell a set if youre not using pop me a pm and maybe i can buy as i'd like to try a set
