Title: New seat
Post by: John5977 on April 09, 2017, 08:47:43 PM
I'm finding the stock seat uncomfortable after 45 mins of riding. Any ideas of custom seats and are they any good??

I have the Kawasaki low gel seat and although it is quite hard it is more comfortable than the stock.
I also don't get pushed forward like I do on the stock seat.

i have the Top Sellerie seat too and love it, BUT the wife doesn't like it she prefers the original one there appears to be a seam at the back, I might see what I can do to smooth it out, either raise my original one with a gel insert or tweak the back of the Top Sellerie

I'm going for one from Custom seat at Coventry.  We had one on the Pan 1300 and it was brilliant....I find the original seat a little hard after a while.

+1 for these, had one on my Blackbird, Pan 1300 and now the GTR, many miles of comfortable touring for me and the pillion.......BUT......seat's are like, helmet's, screen's, tyres..and women, it's an individual taste in the end

Gill tried it on the pillion seat, and was impressed.

It is important to get one with the correct fitting, and then experiment with inflation

Yes we are still talking about Airhawk  :mfr_lol:

I've heard padded cycling short's work for some.

Mrs B wears padded/gel cycling shorts for long rides. Worked for her going to Loire valley and Austria.
