Post by: wildybeast on April 04, 2017, 07:12:58 PM
Painted and added theses bark busters to my horizon bars.A bit ugly but caught out in the rain they worked great.a pic or 3  (http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x459/wildybeast/20170404_134102.jpg)  (http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x459/wildybeast/20170403_115417.jpg) (http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x459/wildybeast/20170403_115405.jpg)

I'm more interested in the handle bar arrangement you have there Sam
The pullbacks I had from you have worked out quite well for me but your current set up catches they eye somewhat!
Can you tell us some more please.

They do show in the mirrors slightly but i can see enough.i have to lean forwards slightly to see over the tops but is not a problem.the camera angle in the pic isnt very good. Stickyone. here is a link to the bars.they can be ordered from the uk.Expensive but very good.you can position them anywhere you like.they come with short brake/clutch line extensions but i went with Galfer braided hose lines. https://www.helibars.com/products/HeliBars%C2%AE-Horizon%E2%84%A2-ST-multi%252daxis-adjustable-handlebars-for-Kawasaki-Concours14/582.html

Here http://chainspeed.co.uk/barkbusters-stm-007-universal-handguards-with-handlebar-end-mounting-6mm-or-8mm/  .if your thinking of fitting some to the gtr double check fitment options (i went with S7 kit) and that you will have enough clearance for screen and wont block your mirrors.I have different bars fitted.I could take some measurements if you like. ps  mine are the storm guards.you do have a choice. cheers

Bleedin' Nora, the adjustable handle bars are a bit pricey!

yes indeed they are .After spending £s on different risers i should have gone for these straight off.I think i would get a fair price for them when i decide to sell them on.

That's always a good outcome and often justifies the initial outlay.
Why didn't you use the hoses included in the set?
Have you got them going spare?
If so do you want to sell them?

i will be holding on to the extensions. The original hoses on the bike were looking a bit tatty so i went for a complete set of galfer brake/clutch lines.Slightly better feel through the levers and look good on the bike with the black lines and s/s ends .I got the bike used and i think has been through a winter or 2 without any protection.A bit of time and a few £s ive got it back to near mint condition.

It was an aerosol can made up by my local paint shop.It isnt a good match but ok.Metalic magnesium grey is the colour .http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/colours.php  is the only place ive found for the correct colour match. They do the frame paint as well. :2guns:    Just to add. pooperly done its a 3 stage job as in Base coat/colour coat then gloss laquer. For the frame just colour then matt laquer.I did my stand a various bits with good results.
