Sorry should have said I had checked the usual suspects locally , I work for an Telecommunications company and always use googles DNS amongst other things;)

Ah, fair enough then.
Prolly just a glitch with routing then,as that site has an average of 60-70ms for the last year or so.
We were down for a bit..
