2016 Indian Roadmaster.
The wife and I were out doing some errands last Friday and we stopped in at the local Indian dealer in Fredericksburg. My wife has always liked Indian Motorcycles and as up to now it's been more about me than her, decided to get a 2016 Roadmaster. Didn't do a test ride. Just bought it. Liked the dealer, liked his people. Rode over a hundred miles on it today. Enjoyed the heck out of it. My wife loves the comfort. Definitely have to get used to it as it's a different ride than the C14. More relaxed. Got plenty of power as well.
It's got cruise control, TPMS, ABS, alarm, radio, keyless start (uses a push button). Seats feel good, at least on the short ride we did today. I think I could get used to it. Oh, electric screen as well. Heated seats and grips
Unfortunately, my left foot is out of order at the moment so I can't do a :censored: thing with any bike at the moment. Hopefully by Sunday I can ride again.
The wife hasn't really been comfortable on the C14 for awhile...knees giving her fits. This bike has three (count them...three) adjustable positions for the passenger peg (board). She also says she doesn't get kicked in the back by the top case like the C14 does her. I think this is going to be our go to tourer from now on and the C14 will be my play bike for awhile.
Different you will enjoy that.
Preferred it to the Harley.
So did we..
Nice, bit of a v-twin Goldwing though. :D
That looks the biz Jim enjoy 👌👌
Thank you. We plan on taking it on the Blue Ridge Parkway this coming Sunday. I'll take pics and post here.
It is a V-Twin Goldwing of sorts, isn't it? I had the same thought.
good for you Jim, I'm sure that you will very soon adapt to the new bike and your good lady will be more comfortable too.
Every so often our likes/needs change and at times like that you gotta do what you gotta do
Enjoy
Cue all the jokes about leather chaps, square toed boots, piss pot helmets and dark shades :mfr_lol:
Piss pot helmets? Are they worn by BMW riders?
I don't think I've seen any BMW riders with piss pot helmets around here. I'll never wear one and I'll continue to ride with my current gear which armoured jacket and pants.
wise decision Jim
