Title: Paint protection
Post by: Wookie on March 29, 2017, 08:49:31 PM
Before WoOk got sick ..ah remember someone complaining about boots rubbing frame paint off .
Solution .
Ebay I got some A4 sheets of sticky back black vinyl ..about 40 p each .. roughly cut them to shape then stick em on and trim with a razor blade .
Weatherproof ..blends in quite well and CHEEP

The kick plates on the versys were terrible for getting marked up with the boots, the GTR looks a lot tougher, but I too have a few sheets of A4 "carbon look" vinyl sheets, if I see marking on the GTR I'll just stick these bad boys on, the Versys ones looked a bit messy after 2-3 years but before chopped it in I just used the same template I used before and freshened them up placing them directly over the top.
