Title: Maintainance video
Post by: Kwikasfuki on September 10, 2010, 03:49:49 PM

I will be buying a set of these videos (http://www.angelridevideos.com/concours.html). Notice that disc #10 is all about lubricating the spline. On higher mileage bikes this may be an issue and your bike may be out of warranty when it happens. My bike is still under extended warranty and still serviced by the dealer, but I want to start doing maintainance/servicing myself.

There's also a free download (http://www.angelridevideos.com/C14__color.pdf) of the GTR wiring diagram (don't believe it covers the '10 model). Still handy to have.

How much will you charge for a copy?

I suggest you purchase it from the official source.

Fred - the author of the DVDs - contributes massively to the community and ripping him off isn't something I intend to do.

Agree with Mr Bates. Mr Blek possess a thick skin when ripping of software that has made some billionaires, but draws the line at the little man.

Chaps, you might get a discount on a bulk order instead.

Right, the DVD set arrived today, and like a proper geek, I created a backup on my NAS and viewed the first couple of DVDs.

There may be an issue on high mileage bikes with the spline. As my bike is fast approaching 30k, this weekend will be devoted to some hard core bike maintenance. The DVD set explains in detail on what to do, so its a case of TLC with the bike this weekend  ;D

I think I'll order a set of discs as well. $90 is money well spent if it helps you to do a bit of DIY maintenance.  Out of interest whats the postage costs & delivery time from the US and are there any additional costs?

Took 5 days to arrive and no additional cost as the value is marked as $10. It was $104 shipped I think.

You will spend more money on the tools

Halfords are doing 15% of tools. Wish I'd known last week when I spent £250
