As a result of injuring my shoulder quite badly when I had my accident on the blood bike last year I have reluctantly made the decision to sell my GTR. I have put it here first before using other avenues.
Its on a 62 plate and has less than 9000 miles on it so hardly used. Can only be described as immaculate. Its in the Dark Metallic Green with luggage and topbox in the same colour. Serviced and MOT'd at the end of January and not ridden much since.
I'll try and list the farkles on it which I can leave on or remove as required.
Top Sellerie seat, MRA Vario screen, Helibar 2" bar risers, Hugger, Fenda extenda, Back rest and rack on topbox,
lifting handle to aid lifting onto centre stand. Ram ball mounted between bars to fit Sat nav, Ram ball on right handlebar bracket which I had my camera on, Thats all I can think of right now.
If I leave all the farkles on I will also include the original seat, screen and exhaust.
I'm asking £8000 as it is or £7500 without the farkles
Have no idea how to put photos on here but if you know anyone that wants a good GTR I am happy to email some photos to them
Please PM for anymore info
Cheers Mo NOW SOLD (Boo Hoo)
Sounds like a great bike. What a shame you have to sell it. Hope you get what you want for it and that your shoulder gets better.

Thanks, Really dont want to sell it but head must rule heart in this case. Will still ride but it needs to be on something lighter although I'm not sure what.

Ok, If I end up trading it in I will be stripping everything off it. You can have first dibs on the handle which I bought from O.C
I don't have too much trouble riding but its the weight moving it around that is causing me problems
Cheers Mo
Give me first dibs on the exhaust should the extras be removed, thanks.
It is a heavy beast to move around and even me at 6' 3" and 16st sometimes struggle, but once on it it feels so much lighter.

Certainly is Alan and at 5' 6" and 72 yrs a dodgy shoulder was the last thing I needed. I'll give you a shout if I strip it
Cheers Mo
Good luck with whatever you decide to replace it with.

Thanks Brian,
Shame I only finally made the decision this week but pleased that you had a good deal with the boys at Bridge. I'm waiting to hear back with an offer from Lee with the possibility of me taking a slightly older CBF 1000 to keep me riding. His numbers need to be right though as I don't intend giving my bike away.
All the best
Mo
I had a CBF 1000 a few years ago. There is a common generator fault on those. Honda renew the generators up to 5 years old. Worth checking if mod done. Nice bike to ride and a lot lighter.
Try an SX if you can, awesome bike and 12 stone lighter!!

I had one myself for 3 years and am aware about the stator issue. If I could get a deal on a MK2 I would go that way but not many around this way for sale. Thanks for the heads up.

It could be an option. Thanks for pointing them out
The GTR is now sold and I will be riding a CBF 1000 Mk 2. Not exactly where I wanted to be but will be a practical solution to my shoulder problem. 60 kg lighter which should make a difference.
Will stick around if thats ok

Anybody is welcome here provided they enjoy themselves, ride motorbikes and take the piss.

Cheers Brian,
I'm now riding a CBF 1000 Mk2. Not exactly what I wanted to do but its 60kg lighter and I can flat foot it (short arse) Done 230 miles on it today and although its no GTR it aint that bad. Off to Bruge for the weekend next Friday.
Happy that you both like the GTR.
All the best
Mo
Mo I'm glad your new bike is proving to be relatively decent.
I doubt there are many bikes that can compare to the GTR and trying to achieve that with something much lighter is probably impossible.
So enjoy the new ride.

I think you are right about the GTR but at least this will keep me riding and at my age thats a bonus.
Cheers Mo
