I've been milling around for a bit and trying to decide if I want to go down the GTR route..
I've now taken the plunge and ordered the Moondust Grey one. I should have it in a few weeks, once it gets put together and and some work gets done. .
I'll then be getting it kitted out for a 2 week trip to Isle of Man in June, coming back through Wales in the second week, there will be some random weekends between now and then to test the bike and get some miles on it.
Steve
You are going to love it.
Well done and congratulations...lots to look forward to Steve
I have some pannier bags for sale in the market section, you might be needing some
We'll be following in your footsteps this weekend, fingers crossed, only ours will be a few years old.  can't wait.
Good choice Tay, BTW we will be at IOM for Race week ( based Kirk Michael ) maybe see you there.

Were there at the end of June so will miss the TT, we've got friends there so will mostly be catching up with them. I've done many TT's but rather not take the bike for it. booze, bikes and crazy Middle European loons dont mix well :)
Have fun, its always a great atmosphere there.

what made you choose grey over blue may I ask? I'm taking the plunge but can't decide on colour.👍
The wife did eventually. But I ddi see her point.
For me as this is a very personal thing, silver looked nice, the carbon colour lower fairings looked nice too. the blue looked like Kawasaki mixed it up and threw it on the bike then thought urgh..and chucked in a load of metallic fleck to make it sparkly.
It looks different in daylight, showroom lights, I saw it at the NEC last year next to the grey/silver one and it was no contest for me. erm...the wife..
👍👍
2 days and counting..
I pick up the bike on Saturday, Sunday weather is looking to be good for a Sunday run!.
Went for the full Tourer spec with the Akra exhaust, recently purchase a few odd's and sods from nice folks here.. wont really get a feel for the tank bag and satnav visibility until I get it then try to figure out how to fix it if it is an issue.
Starting to get quite excited now!!

Can you buy the bike as standard with an Akro? If so, awesome.
I presumed it was an option, I couldn't bear original pipes.

Bugger! Wish I was offered it as an option. Couldn't afford £700 outright but could have soaked it up in my PCP agreement.
The Akra is a Kawasaki marketed genuine accessory, the fitment of which doesn't adversely affect the bikes warranty
Very nice and a beautiful colour too :biker3:
Are you the Tay who used to be on the zzr14 forum ?
indeed I am (Maybe I shouldnt admit that :) ) , couldnt keep me away from the 1400, love that engine.
I drop into the forums now and again.
There's a few of us on both forums then
Dave, are you a GTR or ZZR owner? Or both?
Ta you have deffo got the ULTIMATE colour by far ..
These bikes are epic ..WoOk is on his 2nd one and LOVE it .
However ..ask anyone on here BIN THE BRIDGESHITES it comes with ... ah did at 600 mile service .. they are harder than caveman feet and in the wet bloody dangerous .
Best farkle is slap a Laminar lip on ...and get some A4 sheets of black sticky back vinyl from eBay (bout 90p) and just above the footers the frame bulges . Stick it on there .. coz ya boots will rub the paint off .
Enjoy boyo
