Been reading about the new fines and points that are to be dished out ,for anyone unfortunate anough to get caught over the speed limit , does this start to signal the end of powerful bikes like the gtr , to now get caught at speeds over 90 you can be looking at a ban and big fine , even if you just use the power to overtake the risk is now a lot worse ,, I find on my ktm 1050 that I am always at 80 or less but the power of the gtr is easy to use more , We need to fight back , every mobile speed van should be logged in as soon as spotted , so you know where they are at all times , a sort of mobile speed van app for smart phones ,,, :gun_bandana:
It's not easy to log mobile speed vans because they are literally that - mobile.
Local to me they do sit in regular locations and I am aware of where they are so to be on the look out.
I'm not sure how your idea it would work unless some very computer savvy sorts can chip in.
On the other hand keep to the speed limits!

:agree:
Mobile speed camera van locations are already publicised should you need that information prior to going out for a ride.
Alternatively just ride sensibly and stick to the speed limits.
I also don't see the logic behind your comment, 'Does this start to signal the end of powerful bikes like the GTR'?
Meaning that if now you get caught its 6 points or a ban , before was 3 points , and yes stick to the speed limits in the 30 ,40 ,50 , areas but if you can not use the bike as intended then what's the point of having it , if you never go above 70 , then you're either a liar or a saint ,,
I've heard that bikes other than BMWs are allowed on autobahns these days

I would agree with most; don't do it - or don't get caught.
Yes, we all pinch a bit but if you ride to the conditions around you you should not get into any real trouble. Perhaps I should not confess this but I generally try to make sure that I am not helping myself to more than 10mph over the limit on a road. That way with a quick roll off the throttle, a bit of leeway with the speedo (which on every other bike I have owned is, shall we say, "optimistic") and a bit of latitude from the man with the radar gun I reckon I will usually pass by without getting a tug.
The problem will always be those times when you have simply missed the fact that it has dropped from 60 to 40 (usually your own fault for not watching) and then you are going get what is coming to you unfortunately and it don't matter if you are on a 1400 or a 125.
Of course if there is a big open road in front of me and I am damned sure there is no one else around I have been known to twist the grip a bit
