Title: A tentative wave and a business like nod .
Post by: Bearded Dew Drop on February 14, 2017, 08:49:24 PM
Hello all,

I've put the deposit down on a new GTR 1400, just waiting for it to come in. It should be on my drive 01/03/17, so this is just a warm up hello. A little bit of bike history just so you can have a little insight.... Started out about 500 years ago on a Puch Maxi (purple) had about 5 Vespa's then got into cars. Took my bike test in 2009 got a Honda CBF 600, then a Suzuki Hayabusa, changed that 2 and a half years ago for a Kawasaki Z1000SX and now just waiting for the tour bus that is the GTR 1400.
I look forward to getting to know some of you lot :)

I had an SX prior to my GTR awesome bike. You will find it a totally different Animal the SX being Raw the GTR being refined.

Good choice. Fortunately you did not make the mistake of getting K16. That would have wiped the smile off your face!

I don't know what you see in it.
Big bulky and clunky.
Whereas the GTR is totally the opposite.
You've made the right choice Mr Weird Beard. Welcome.

Its a full system from a zzr1400 less lambda sensors been on for about a year or so now,if anyone is thinking of doing it the front pipes must be the same year as the silencers ie 06 headers and same for the rears 07 rears will fit but they change after that.
I only put them on to make it look better with the original on it always looks like it wants to fall over even stood still.

Q. what has been done with the lambda sensors i.e. remap and turn them off or eliminator plugs to stop the tune getting upset or something else .
