Hi all,
This is being rolled out across France currently and at present affects cities but im sure it will stretch further once the initial fuss dies down.. covers all vehicle types and the on the spot fines are the danger.

In paris, lyon and grenoble only for the moment. But also for motorbikes
You can find classification on p13 in http://www.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/sites/default/files/Presentation_de_la_politique_publique-air-9-novembre-2016.pdf
Depending of that you can access parts of city or can park on special places
My 2009 GTR needs a yellow sticker. My guess is they grade vehicles and the higher the emissions then the higher the tax will be to enter the city boundary.
We're off to France in July so for the cost of £4 I'm sending off for one, just tried to find the C02 for a GTR looks like it's a Cat 3.??? It's like the breathalizer shit they came out with a few years back and then they say the feds don't enforce it, or just can't be bothered..knowing my luck I'll be the one to get stopped and checked...
Like the hi-vis squares on your helmets, the CE labelling on what you wear.....we'll be talking about....drum roll...leg protectors next. (http://yoursmiles.org/tsmile/rtfm/t1949.gif) (http://yoursmiles.org/t-rtfm.php) (http://yoursmiles.org/tsmile/rtfm/t2415.gif) (http://yoursmiles.org/t-rtfm.php)
Can anyone give me some information on the "crit air sticker" now required in french cities.. I've done some research but can't seem to find detailed information.. One of the cites I'm staying which is Grenoble for 5 days requires one of these stickers which I understand to be a number 2 yellow class sticker but not sure of the age of the bike or even new bikes need the sticker. any information on this and where to obtain the sticker if required.. would be most appreciated..

Lucky you i found the french tax site in english 😄 '

oops message appeared double, but cant delete it...
thanks for the info I've found the form in English it say you need to scan a copy of your v5 to send but just look on my v5 and the emissions details are blank on my v5 do they go of the year and make of bike? this is a pain in the rear... would have thought you could buy a city sticker from any service station in France like you can with motorway tax chargers but it seems you can only order one on line. also how long do they last for.. I.E is the price for a day.. I'm staying in Grenoble for 5 days how long dose the sticker last for? not filled the form in yet so this may ask how long you need the city sticker for. As anyone filled this form in yet that can shed some light on it.
I did ours the other week, the first page was in Engish but after that it went back to French. I manage it ok, just had a look at the page and I now see that you can use the buttons at the top of the page that's in English all the way... :whistling:
It's all straight forward, I thought the GTR would be a class 3, but when the sticker arrived it's a 2. I think they last for one year :undecided:
We're not going anywhere that will require a sticker, but for £3 it's belt & braces....if the feds stop us it'll show that we are the Good guys :innocent:
Yes ,
Mine is class 2 too, cause model 2010
1.1.2007 till 31.12.2016 bikes are class 2 if euro 3 (cfr slide in french link)
Class 2 is better than class 3😄
The sticker gives you a classification for your bike that will never change, so i think its a lifetime sticker, cant change the classification.... And vue to the little price its not intended (for now) being a tax rather a class that will have consequences in cities and later in the country...
